| Our Favorite Bluegreen Corporation Resorts |
We have purchased a lot of time share units and points, but we like to vacation economically. For
this reason we prefer a room with a kitchen and especially a washer/dryer. Since we are not yet retired,
we usually take short getaway vacations where we can drive to the location. The following list itemizes
the resorts we have seen and what we liked about them (there is only one Bluegreen resort we didn't like).
When you click on the details and photos link, you will be directed to a Bluegreen Corporation web site
that describes the Lodge Alley Inn, but also contains a drop down in the upper right part of the page that
will link you to any of Bluegreen's resorts. |
| Marathon, Florida |
| The Hammocks at Marathon is located in the middle of the Florida Keys and water sports are king.
Converted from a Hampton Inn, The resort is small but nice. |
| Orlando Florida |
| We visit The Fountains in Orlanda every year in January because there is a good chance of
getting good swimming weather in mid January. This resort was voted Bluegreen's most popular resort by
children of owners. It has an heated indoor/outdoor pool plus a huge outdoor pool with a water slide. |
| St. Augustine, Florida |
| St. Augustine has some great history and attractions, but Grande Villas at World Golf Village
is a golfing paradise. It has a wonderful pool, tennis courts, basketball court and outdoor gas barbecues.
|
| Las Vegas, Nevada |
| We have never stayed at Bluegreen Club 36 but had a chance to see it while visiting family.
It was built from scratch and was beautifully done. We will probably never stay there as we aren't into
gaming and shows and have family there.

| Charleston, South Carolina |
| Charleston is one of the country's best historic destinations, and The Lodge Alley Inn is a
part of that history. This is our favorite resort in the system, and we come here frequently. The resort
does not have a swimming pool.
|
| Myrtle Beach, South Carolina |
| We saw the Carolina Grande while staying at another nearby resort. It was built from
scrath and has only 1 BR and 3 BR units. This resort is located across the street from the beach.
Seaglass Towers is just down the road and has only 1 BR units. It is a beach front resort. If you
don't come to Myrtle Beach for the beach, consider Harbour Lights. It is located on the inland water
way, and has a complete array of room types.
|
| North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina |
| North Myrtle Beach is the home of Shore Crest Vacation Villas I and II. The resorts are 1 BR
and 2 BR only. Shore Crest I is beach front, while Shore Creat II is across the street with
its own pool and beach access.
|
| Pigeon Forge, Tennessee |
| Laurel Crest is located in a vacation town ajacent to the Smoky Mountains. Main attractions
are shows and outdoor activities. This resort has the best outdoor dining areas with charcoal grills and
picnic tables.
