DataMate Corporation is managed by Steve Handlos, who has been developing business software since 1969 and has been managing a business since 1983. Steve graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1966 and a Master's degree in Business Administration in 1967. Steve started his business career in 1968 with Westvaco Corporation. While at Westvaco, he organized a computer operation, worked in accounting, auditing, and tax management activities, including IRS tax audits. Steve left Westvaco in August, 1983 with a two year "exit" contract. He continued to work for them as a contract programmer until 2001, when he left to devote full time to the Publisher'sDataMateŽ project. While Steve has had many other clients, the relationship with Westvaco has been the most significant.
